And Kim just did her homework and didn't even help us!
We (Rachel and I) took care of Kelly's baby today while she went to a class. She is a busy busy baby, and we were tired when she left. She played with the dog, played in the yard, rode in the wagon while we went for a long walk and let me just say that when you take a baby on a long walk to tire her out, well, she's riding in the wagon and you are pulling the wagon and doing the actually walking, so guess who gets tired? She also "talked" on the cordless phone and typed on the computer. We pretty much let her do anything that wouldn't injure her.
She followed one of the cats into the forbidden zone, that is, the dining room and the cat's bathroom, and I found her dropping handfuls of cat litter into the bathtub. That's fine, since Zorro poops in that bathtub anyway. So she was actually doing us a favor. (We don't use that bathroom for showers - it's the cat's bathroom.) Then she crawled on the hearth and got a fistful of ashes to spread around.
The exhausted dog had gone to sleep on the floor, but the baby didn't quite get that, and she tried to open the dog's eye, then she pulled the dog's lips up to open the dog's mouth. Good thing we have a good-natured, patient dog, who just ignored it.
She picked up a ball of yarn and I let her carry it around because she couldn't hurt it, so I thought it would amuse her for a while, but she got tired of it too soon. Thank goodness her mom came to pick her up after that! Whew! What a day!
So that was our day. After she left, I took a nap!
