Tuesday redux
On our Oozaroo list today we had:
- Get Rachel's shots
- Mail the birth certificats for the apostilles
- and go to the library.
We managed to get all of them done in just a couple of hours and then we came home and made chicken soup with matzo balls and watched a movie.
Well, we watched part of a movie. It was called The Edge of Seventeen, and it a movie about a young gay man's journey of discovery. It was a little racy for Rachel, although I am always happy to watch young men snogging and whatnot (mostly whatnot), but when the sex happened in the beginning of the movie, we sensed tragedy coming, so we turned that one off. What we liked about it (apart from the shots of the nice ass!) was that it takes place in Sandusky, Ohio, and the kids work at Cedar Point in the summer!
So then we put in a silly, pointless movie called Shake, Rattle and Roll, starring Renee Zellwegger as a teenage girl in the early 60s who loves Rock and Roll. Yawn. It was kind of like a cartoon, or a fable, and I didn't really care about it. Rachel liked it a little better than I did.
We took a walk with Kim tonight, just around three blocks, because I'm starting slow and Rachel is easily tired. Rachel said she was feeling crabby, and I explained that when you take your baby to get immunizations you have to give it infant Tylenol for a couple of days afterward because the shots make the baby fussy, and when we got home she took some Advil.
She is on the phone with Jason now, and I hope they are starting to feel comfortable again. They've been a little careful with each other since Saturday and I think they need time to get to know each other again inside the new parameters of the relationship. It's very wierd to watch this going on, and I just want to shake him and tell him to get over it! I am so trying to stay out of it, though.
