Tired of snow.
Before I forget, I just want to let you know that I disabled the comments part of my journal because every day I get two or three spammy porn link comments and I am very tired of them. I love getting comments, so please write me a note if you have something to say about my journal.
So. My family just drove off to spend the weekend in Michigan, visiting my husband's parents and going to his family's yearly after-Christmas party. I stayed home because we weren't going to go, and then by the time we decided to go, it was too late to arrange for someone to work for me. So I am staying home to work and walk the dog.
We woke up to snow this morning, and it's pretty but there is a lot of it. Rachel was all full of energy and she shoveled my front steps before they left. I am wondering who is going to shovel the long sidewalks at the front and side of the house? I'm not going to think about it now, but maybe when I walk the dog I will shovel a little.
What I'm knitting today:
I just finished weaving in all the ends of the baby blanket I made for Soren! I started the blanket in August and have worked on it on and off since then, and now that he's here, I made a push to finish.
Cast on for a tunic sweater for Carolyn like the one that Kim has, and I'll probably have that done by the end of the month.
Working on sock#2 of the second pair for RA's son.
What I really need to do is work on the three Norwegian-style sweaters and get them done by the end of January! As soon as I finish the socks for RA, I'm going to focus on finishing the three Norwegians. Heh.
What I'm reading today:
I'm reading The Secret Life of Bees, which I bought a couple of years ago and put on a shelf, unopened. I started it last night and it's fascinating. I could hardly put it down to sleep!
In fact, I think I'll get my book and the second sock, and go sit with them and watch the snow fall.
